Denis I reported it on bug tracker, but it was strange, the protocole to report the bug was not as usual : very quick, no question about LS version, PHP, server, etc. I don't know if I reported it at the right place... wan you have a look to tell me ? my ID is "ledoux". Thanks !!

I have the same problem and it is not solved with a local update from PHP 5.3. to PHP 5.5.
My provider will not change the PHP version in the next time and therefore, i was forced to use the old Limesurvey Layout.
But, it also happens on a fresh installation - and also local with the comlpete xamp-installation file (limesurvey250plus-build160421-on-xampp-win32-setup.exe). I was not able to edit any copy of the template files.
The Problem ist not solved - pleas help.

Are you sure it is not solved with an update of PHP?
Because this is a problem that only occurs with PHP 5.3.x. It is related to bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=11405
and it can resolved by using xpath() just as in the fix for 11405.
See me pull request at github.
