From LimeSurvey Manual

When importing the VV file, if two response IDs match and the Exclude record IDs is disabled, you can make LimeSurvey:

  • Report and skip the new record
  • Renumber the new record
  • Replace the existing record
  • Replace answers in file in the existing record
