Cannot log in after a fresh install. My password is always wrong. When I reset it (I am getting the mail) it is still wrong. 
Any hints on how I can try to solve this issue? 

Of course not the cleanest way, but as a last record, access to the database and change it manually...

I do not explain why because it's depend on how you've installed it all. The CE version asks for a DB name, path and password, then stored in the config file.
If you used a standard installation, reuse the tool you've used to create the DB (eg. phpmyadmin). When you'r in, find the user table where your admin entry is and "hard change the password" (sql statement).
If all this sounds weird to you, it's also okay but you might rather ask for help to someone who can explain DBs.
PS : pwd in the config file and limeadmin pwd should not be the same

Hmm, I cannot find a users table / lime_users table in the DB.
I did a second install without errors. Same behavior.

Could be. Maybe a bug in the install script?
I bit strange that i got the reset password mail and executed the function with no error.
