How to turn of warning about security updates

Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version:  Version 5.6.38+230919
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: own server
Survey theme/template: own

Hi,

I just upgraded to 5.6.x and for now have no plans to upgrade to 6.x.
The admin interface is screaming at me to do a security upgrade to 6.x, is there a way to turn this off? Clicking away the message only helps shortly, it keeps appearing and that is very annoying.

I think you can disable it in config.php.

updatecheckperiod - github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/5a...ig-defaults.php#L481

Or, disable the "ComfortUpdateChecker" and "UpdateCheck" plugins in Configuration --> Plugins.

I'd like to echo this issue. While i want to see all 5.6.XXx updates, I don't want to be aware of 6.XXX updates at this time. Is there a confirmed method to stop this behavior without loosing 5.6.x updates and notifications?  

Also, i am seeing the same behavior as the OP described. I can confirm that After disabling the plugin and a server reboot (and using different browsers) the 6.x security update still appears.

As this purely has to do with Comfort update, I would write this as a feature request or support ticket directly to LImesurvey GmbH, as they are responsible for the implementation of CU and only they can change anything. We had this discussion before, with people finding the reminders too intrusive.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
