When I updated an old version of LS CE to the Long Term Maintenance Version, I believe it is, using the comfort updater things went fine until I was asked to upgrade the database. Then I got this error

An non-recoverable error happened during the update. Error details:CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table 'ls_tutorials' already existsFile updatedb_helper.php, line 1749.

This is not the first time this error has occurred while trying to upgrade..
Any help appreciated

So what Version did you run before and what exact version did you upgrade to?

This is ancient. Over 6 years without any updates? I am not overly surprised that you run into issues when updating/upgrading.

So you are getting an error message, but what exactly happens? Could you upgrade and then get the error message? Can you access the new install? Did the upgrade not really start?

Be a little bit more specific where you are hanging currently.

I know it's ancient. I inherited it. Long story but...
Running 2.73.1+171220
Upgrading to: 3.28.74 (230920) - This is the only version that is available via Comfort Updater. I believe this is the Long Term Maintenance version.

So, the updater runs and says everything is good. Files structure etc...
When it finishes we return to the Admin page with a message saying to proceed you must update the database.
When I do that the above error is thrown up.

So I don't know if it is a database issue or an updater issue.

If I check the database integrity (pre update) it reports everything is fine...

OK, trying to upgrade to LS 3.x. Yes, this is in theory the LTS version, but actually should have been EOL already in June 2023. So I would expect it to become EOL any day.

As you seem to be a paying customer of Comfort Update, you might get direct support from the Limesurvey GmbH by opening a support ticket (Only if they consider this an issue with Comfort Update though).

Another path is trying to open a bug at bugs.limesurvey.org.

I am no expert on the database structure of Limesurvey.
