dear community,

we are experiencing a strange behaviour on our new LS server. Everything is working fine but in the admin dashboard the logged user gets randomly (from 1 to 13mins) logged out without any error messages (beside the 302) and has to relogin. Interesting is the fact that apple machines are logged out much faster and more often as win or linux users.. Do you have any suggestions on where to start debugging or what could cause those logouts.

Is there more than one LimeSurvey installation on that server?
What kind of hosting is used?
Was LS 5.6 a fresh install or an upgrade?

I recommend to update to 5.6.3 first and check again.
It might a bug in 5.6.0 or the session of each user is deleted too quick.

If you are using more than one LimeSurvey instance on a server, you might need to ensure that sessions and cookies are names differently.

thanks for your quick reply! It is a fresh and single install pulled from repo. It turned out it was the session that got deleted too quick. This behaviour was also in 5.3.x, but we thought an upgrade would do the trick.. Do u think upgrading to 5.6.3 would make some difference?

seems 5.6.3 has fixed it... now it's also possible to be logged in in two different browsers at the same time and the session values of both are now different, where they weren't 'till the upgrade.... was there a bug which I haven't found, there are also no commits in this direction?
