Your screenshots don't show the described problem. What I can see is that the question type does not match the screenshot. So where is the actual problem?

Just tested in the Demo, and the dropdown question type works fine. After you created the question, you need to add answer options for it to work.
If you still have problems with this question type, please describe your problem more clearly, because I can not reproduce any problems at the moment. Also: For this type of question, always mention the LS version that you are using.
