Hi,
I have problems to connect to an SMTP server of Exchange 2016, the error that appears is the following:

I Perform the tests that appear in the troubleshooting and the telnet answers well, the dig command as well. ¨
I try Gmail's SMTP and it works fine. Is there a known problem with Exchange 2016? Can someone give me some help?

No, it's Exchange. So most user clients interact not via SMTP/POP3/IMAP with an Exchangeserver. So often little things are missing or wrong when setting up a SMTP connection.

You should first try to get the Exchange via SMTP/IMAP/POP3 working inside a E-Mailclient (like Thunderbird). If that is working transfer the settings to LimeSurvey (don't forget the correct ports).
If it is still no working, it could be a Port block on the server/connection side. Since Gmail is working via your LimeSurvey installation, that kind of port blocking seems not to be in place.

It is relative to Limesurvey since I want to configure the SMTP for sending mails and it does not work for me, I just need help from those who know, in case there is any known issue regarding the connection of Limesurvey with Exchange, since as I say in my previous message I could configure the Gmail SMTP by the same port 587 and it worked. If in any case it is not relative to Limesurvey, sorry for the inconvenience.

The last time i have to configure with something near a Exchange server (something not free and related to MS) : no username and password. The server have the rights without authentification, if you try auth : it broke.

Then : to resume : You manage the Exchange server, You make the choice to use an exchange server . LimeSurvey use internet standard SMTP … you surely can make your config compatible with internet standard …

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
