Conditional Array? was created by ocbroadband
Hello,

Newbie Limesurvey user here, or at least I haven't used it in quite a while. I know the application used to be able to do this back in v1.9.x days if I recall, but I can't seem to find where to do it in the latest and greatest 2.7x version. I could create a form that had questions dependent on previous questions and it was all graphical on how it traversed through the logic. I can't seem to find where to do this now in the new version.

Thanks..

Hello, ocbroadband,
to be honest: It's a bit confusing.

I could create a form that had questions dependent on previous questions

That's the easiest thing. You can do that.

Unfortunately I do not see what you are going to do?

Is a question displayed or not depending on a previous question? (use relevance equation)
Or a subquestion displayed or not depending on a previous question? (use subquestion relevance)
manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...ation.2FBranching.29

Is the question (or answer) text displayed differently depending on a previous question? (use Expression Manager / Tayloring)
manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...7BMrs.7D_Smith....22

and it was all graphical on how it traversed through the logic

What d you mean by that.

Best regards
Joffm

Hi Joffm,

So these are the two items I'm trying to do.
A question displayed or not depending on a previous question?
A subquestion displayed or not depending on a previous question?

The manual links you provide do not look anything like the latest version and from what I've read, don't really match up either, so I'm a bit lost where to find how to do this. I know you said it can be done, but that's really my question, where in the application, and where in the manual is it updated to match the latest v2.x version.

Apologies if I'm a bit ignorant to this, but I typically like manuals that are actually functional and correlate to the software version I'm actually using.

Thanks for your insight...

Hello,

though there are a lot of sample surveys in the manual ( manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...nager_Sample_Surveys ) which you should download, import and study,
here is a working example to show both "question relevance" and "subquestion relevance".

File Attachment:

File Name: limesurvey...3916.lss

Apologies if I'm a bit ignorant to this, but I typically like manuals that are actually functional and correlate to the software version I'm actually using.

Me too, so feel free to update the manual (it's a wiki)

Best regards
Joffm
