Can't import exported .LSS (XML is not a correct data format)

Hello,

I have tried to export my survey, which I have created with the bitnami limesurvey on my Mac locally.
Now, as the server for the live survey is ready, I wanted to import the survey structure with all the questions and dependencies there because it was hell of a work.

Unfortunately I can't handle this.
I export the survey as ".lss" and it always saves me the file as "survey.lss.xml"
I have tried to import the file, but the serverbased limesurvey application tells me that "XML" can't be used.
What am I doing wrong? I didn't export an XML file in my local application.
I have also tried to rename it without success.

Can somebody help me please?
Operating system locally is MacOSX.
Actual limesurvey version.

Thanks!

Problem is your Mac or I think actually the browser that you use on your MAC.

.lss files are based on XML. Obviously your browser/system tries to rename it to a XML file.

There are various possible ways to try to solve this:
1. Rename the file from survey.lss.xml back to survey.lss
2. Export the file via a different browser and see if you get a normal .lss file.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
