can't login on admin page - no input fields for name and password !?

And this tool installation service from your provider control panel installs which version of Limesurvey? Also the most recent one 2.54.4+161018?

This is important, because if this tool installs an older version, the problem can have slipped into a later version.

Current work-around if your in a hurry:

1. Remove the installed version (2.54.4)
2. Download and install an older version: download.limesurvey.org/archived-release...plus_build160129.zip
3. Perform ConfortUpdate

That's it!!
Hope the bug is resolved soon

Well, then I would say this is a bug in a version later than 2.51.3. This means a bug report is required.

I work with LS 2.54.3+161014 and there is no issue.

So IMHO there is no general problem in the latest updates.

Hey Joff, the question is: do you update these installations or do you set them up manually each time?

Because my installation of 2.54.4+ 161018 (which is the very latest) doesn't have the problem either. Now 2 (or was it even 3) people that made a fresh install recently reported those input fields missing.

For me there is a very good chance that there is a problem with fresh installations, that updates don't have. If you installed this 2.54.3+ 161014 fresh, then we can narrow the problem down for at least after that I guess.

I will see if I can do a fresh test install tonight at home and see what happens.

I can confirm. Did a fresh install on ubuntu with limesurvey2.54.4+161018.zip and the admin login fields are missing.

I would add a bug report but i can't login in the bugtracking system.

You should be able to login with your forum login. However, you seem to be a new user, so data syncronization between the platforms might take a while.

Oh, I just saw that it worked: bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=11816

But it is posted as a "feature request". Can you adapt it to make it a bug? Unfortunately I can't do this.

Hi, holch,
well, I'll always do a fresh installation.

I upload the zip file of the installation to my server.
Then a small php script unzips it and copies the needed files (config, upload folder and so) from the previous version to the new, then renames both.
Advantage: I always keep the previous versions in case there is something wrong wth the new one.

I'll try the latest version this way right now.
