Using Google Maps was created by perryworld
Hi,

We have just tried the Google Maps facility and it works really well but have a question.
Is it possible to be able to type in an address that will then be plotted on the map
So if we typed in Knutsford it would put the pin on the map before continuing with the survey.
As an example this is how EasyDiscuss does it (see attached).

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
Richard

There are some thread about this here in the forum. From what I remember, you would need to use Javascript and the Google Maps API to get more than what LS offers from out of the box.

Do a little search on the forum, this has been discussed before. It might be a subquestion in another thread.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.
This may help other members but we ended up adding an iFrame to the question then linked to one of our own pages which showed the map with a box to enter the location.

Check this out ubilabs.github.io/geocomplete/ for examples of using Google Maps.

Cheers
Richard
