Your LimeSurvey version: LimeSurvey Cloud Version 6.3.8
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: Not sure could be LimeSurvey hosting
Survey theme/template: fruity

Dear All,
I cannot find a type of question that can establish my question properly. So I am trying the following survey design layout:
Layer 1: Randomly pick 1 group of questions out of 4, controlled by "pin". (each group have 18 sub-group, within each sub-group there are 2 questions, 1 case question and 1 general fixed follow-up question)
Layer 2: Within the selected group, randomly pick 8 case question out of 18, controlled by "Randomization group name".
Layer 3: The 3rd layer is to use condition to link the general fixned follow-up question to each randomly selected case question, controlled by "condition".
The idea was to randomly select the case question while keeping the general fixed question to each of them.
For now I am stuck at step 3. With preview, sometimes for a single group both question will be showed correctly. But sometimes only one (either case question or general fixed question) will be showed.
As for the version, I am using Limesurvey professional for work. However, the sample I uploaded is generated with my personal Limesurvey account. Hope this won't cause any problems.
Any idea how can I realise this with limesurvey?
Best regards,
H.s.

Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

2.
Why don't you show us your survey with your solutions so far?
Please, send a lss export, that we see your approach and may help you to complete. Or show a different solution.

Hi Joffm,
I just made a sample file to my previous question. Hope that explains the problem I am facing right now.
Thank you for your time!
Best regards,

Hi,
as you see, you can't use randomization groups but keep always two matched questions.
But this can be done by a small script.
Here your example back.
Only for 2 out of 5 instead 8 out of 18 and only implemented in the first group of questions.
And there is a general misunderstanding in your approach with the hidden groups.
Here you must not hide questions. The idea of this is to show these questions, but only if the are shuffled into the visible group.
So you only hide the second group.
Just an explanation. You can't use this in your scenario.
