Hello everyone,

I am having some issues with a recent survey. The participant has told me that he has completed the survey, but I can't see any responses for the survey with this token. However, in the "completed?" column, I can see the date he completed the survey, and "usage left" is also 0. I have tried to reproduce the error without success. There seems to be no pattern. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks for your help!

Some background information:
LimeSurvey Version 3.17.2
Responses are not anonymized; Enable token based persistance is off; allow multiple responses is off
Attached is a screenshot of the survey participant table, ID 25 not ok, ID 26 ok

This person with the ID 25, was this person logged into the Limesurvey Admin in any way, or is that a normal participant with no access to the Limesurvey backend?

It is the same person in both cases (from the survey where I tried to reproduce the error). The person did not have access to the Limesurvey backend - I administered the survey and sent the link to a colleague who answered it.

OK, so both cases (ID 25 and 26) are the same person and it has been filled out on the same computer with the same browser?

This might be relevant for identifying the problem.

In general, I would suggest a bug report. However, your version is quite old. The response will understandably be: "Update to the latest 3.x and see if it persists." and this makes total sense, because this issue (if it is a real bug), might have been solved quite a while ago.

Your version is from April 2019. So it is almost 2 years old. A lot of updates have been added since then.

To be honest, I couldn't even find your specific version of LS 3.17.2.

There is a 3.17.1 from 08/04/2019 and then it jumps directly to 3.17.3 on 29/04/2019. What is the date of your version? My guess is that there was something seriously wrong with 3.17.2 and therefore the developers released 3.17.3 immediately after.

Here you can see the changelog for 3.17.3:
community.limesurvey.org/release/190429/

I couldn't find anything related to your problem though.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Yes, in this test case ID 25 and ID 26 were answered by the same person on the same device. However, in the original case, the participant only got one survey link to answer.

I will try the update and come back here to let you know the result.
