11-point Likert scale & mobile preview mode was created by ProjektFreundschaft3
Dear all,
I am trying to implement a test version of a vignette experiment in Limesurvey and want to ask whether it is possible to construct an 11-point Likert scale? I only saw a 5-point Likert scale, but I cannot believe that another number of points should not be possible. Did I miss something? And is it possible to label the points of the Likert scale individually?
A second question is whether Limesurvey has a preview mode for mobile devices? So far I was only able to get previews for the desktop version.
Thank you very much in advance for your help and time!
Best,
Marcel

Hi, Marcel,
to answer your first question.
Please, read the chapter about question types in the manual.
manual.limesurvey.org/Question_types
These "predefined" question types like "5-point-scale" are -in my opinion - only used for other purposes using these settings
E.g. as a star rating scale
or this "Emoji" scale
To be free in the number and wording of answers you obviously have to use the "normal" question types, like list(radio)
or a "normal" array
And I do not understand your second question.
Either you resize your browser window or you use the webdevelopment tools in each browser to "fake" a mobile.

You can try the plugin
gitlab.com/SondagesPro/QuestionSettingsType/radioToStarRating
if you host yourself (and use a LimeSUrvey version lesser than 4).
Demo link : demo.sondages.pro/452542?newtest=Y#
Maybe @tparner have a QuestionTheme ?

I have a 5-Point-Emoji question theme that could be fairly easily extended to an 11-point scale.

There is no "preview mode" for desktop nor mobile devices. It is just a preview mode. At the survey templates are responsive, they adapt to the screen used. So if you want to preview on a mobile phone, either make your view port on the computer smaller or test with a real mobile device.
