Export issue with negative number

Export issue with negative number was created by ledoux
Dear all
I have a big issue. I exported my results.

One central question is a "multiple numeric array" with cursors. The range is (-5 to +5) but then in the export there is only numbers from 0 to +5, no negative answer.

What is happening? Are the data lost? it would be really a BIG problem...

detail: in the statistics display page, the answers are ranging from 0 to 5, no negative value

This is really big issue,
because I would need to run my invitation campaign again (to get the answers on another format), and then pay twice the panel provider (and have no time for this)

If it helps, I can provide the link to my questionnaire, to check directly.

Hi guys,

this reminds me on an own issue I had with stored data with sliders ( Wrong stored data with sliders )

If it is the same problem, updating and deactivate and activate solved the problem, but I didn't get the data back (fortunatly it was only a test at this time).
Edit: Update, copy the whole questionnaire, activate and test. This could show that the same/similar problem occcured.

Denis I did this because in the past months I asked if I could post on both, and someone on the english forum agreed. I will not do it anymore, sorry.

Steve, you mean that you solved the problem but you couldn't get the data back ? According to you my data are lost?

Did you look what is in the database? Could you see negative data there? If so, not everything is lost...

database ? do you mean the "statistics and data" in the administration page, where the system presents the results in a linear way?
There is no negative data in
- the presentation of results on the plateform (result display : 10, 100, 1000 answers)
- the statistics display (graphs, etc.)
- the data export.

So data lost ?

No, I mean the database on the server. In your file /application/config/settings (in LS 2.50) there is a reference to a database. In that database your survey (see the SID) has a results table. There you will be able to see if negative data has been stored. If so, it is possible to get it out.

only to confirm that I understood what you mean:
- "on the server"= do you mean directly my own server (host) or on the internet administration (limesurvey) ?
- you said "file" : what file exactly ?

Server: the place where your LimeSurvey installation is running. Or more precisely: the place where your LimeSurvey database is located. Since you have had people fill in the survey, I guess this must be somewhere on the internet, not on your own laptop.

In your LimeSurvey installation, there is a configuration file. In this file the name of the connected database is written. Find that database and look for the results table of the survey that has the problem. In that results table, you will be able to see if the negative data is stored.

If really needed, we may be able to help you finding this out, but we will charge you for that if it takes a serious amount of time.
