I'm currently trying to design a survey where 10 out of 100 questions (which are within a question group) are displayed randomly to a respondent.
I know that this was discussed before and I went through the whole forum searching for a feasible method to achieve this. In the manual I found this solution:

manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager..._of_the_questions.29

While this is fine if you only have 10 questions, for 100 questions this is a whole other story. Before writing a script generating this formula and pasting it for each of the 100 questions i was wondering if there was a faster way?

A better solution would really help me out as it would safe me a lot of work!

Thanks in advance!

I suppose if the survey is in "group-by-group" mode, you could use JavaScript to hide all but the first 10 questions.

Of course, if the questions are mandatory you would also need to add hidden "N/A" options and have the script toggle those in the hidden questions.

The script details would vary depending on the LS version, template and question types but searching the forum should yield many tips.

Cheers,

For such usage (complex formula in a lot of question) usage bof TSV import/export can be really good.
