Dear Users:

I got a problem regarding the numeric array input.

We plan to do the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) using limesurvey. We prefer to use the dropdown format as it is more convenient for users. The value of AHP used to be “1/3, 1/5” or integers. However, the appeared values in the dropdown list are all numbers (Pic 1).

For the sake of illustration, I changed the appearance in the desired format by firebugs(Pic 2).

I would like to know if it is possible to make this happens? How to do it? By javascript? Modifying inter functions? Creating a new question type?

Many thanks for any suggestion or enlightenment.

Yang

If I remember correctly, you can only define the MIN/MAX values for the drop-down. Since data is always stored as a numeric value at the DB, the best approach would be to use JavaScript to adjust the item within the drop-downs.

Thank you for your reply Mazi!

And you mean it is possible to achieve the effect by javascript, right? If so, could you give me some detailed suggestion on how to "use JavaScript to adjust the item within the drop-downs"? I have searched the mannual carefully but didn't find the fittable answer.

By the way. sorry fo the too much faint picure. As the original is very large, I have to resize it.

I am really a newbie in both limesurvey and javascript. Thank you very much for your support.

I have no example for this JS code available but have seen similar examples at the forums. Please also check manual -> workarounds -> JavaScript.
