Can the number of responses to a single question be limited?

Hello,
I'm fairly new to LimeSurvey and want to explore some broader use cases.
I am curious about the potential to use it as an event sign-up tool (similar to Eventbrite).
Part of this would involved limiting the response (i.e., sign-ups / attendance) on a particular question.
Is it possible to limit the number of responses to a single question?
Thank you!

Hi,
you didn't answer the questions at the beginning.

Probably you can use the since 5.x. included plugin "statFunctions".

As there is no relevance on answer options of single questions you have to use the usual workaround.
Hidden multiple questions used as array filter of the single question.

Always the best:
Send the lss export of your survey.

you can set a quota for a wanted single response. for example when you set for male's limit to 5, the 6th male in your survey will see a special screen with a specialized message and can't move on

This is not the best workflow in a scenario like this.
You want to screen out a person who selects a certain event.

But imo the respondent should see that this event is not selectable anymore to give the chance to select another one .
If you have a look at the examples "eventbrite" and "mobilizon".
