Can a survey be set up so that no cookies are stored on the client side?

Does Limesurvey necessarily use cookies? Well, my question is because I want to create surveys in such a way that no cookies are stored on respondent's browser side.
I would not mind at all submission of several responses by one respondent, for example. The main issue is that I would not want to ask the respondent a question about cookies, if that is possible.

Many thanks
Roberts

Not very helpful as there are currently 3 different branches of LS CE and each branch has a "latest". And today's latest might not be "latest" tomorrow.

So to your question: From what I understand, Limesurvey has 3 types of cookies, fo which 2 are default (and as far as I understand necessary for it to work). And then there is a third one that you can switch on and off on a per survey basis from within the GUI.

I don't think that LS would work without the session cookies though.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Correct, the session cookie is needed to connect the browser with the session file on the server. Any other way would be less secure (e.g. attaching a sessionid to the URL, which would expose the session via logfile and referrers).
