Tailor the end meesage was created by almashah
Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here and I am designing a survey using the online limesurvey.

I am struggling in tailroing the end message. I want to have three different end messages at the end for the following scenarios:

1- If someone chooses "no" for "yes/no" screening question that exists in the beginning, the end message would be (XXXXXX)

2- If someone chooses to quit the survey in the middle of doing the survey, the end message would be (YYYYYYY)

3- If someone completed the survey, the end message would be (zzzzz).

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,
you may read here
manual.limesurvey.org/ExpressionScript_H...7BMrs.7D_Smith....22

1- If someone chooses "no" for "yes/no" screening question that exists in the beginning, the end message would be (XXXXXX)

Is this a screening questions and the respondents who answer "no" are screened out by quota?
Then you design the end message in the quota management.

Otherwise your end message could be like
{if(YNQuestion=="N","This is the end message of this scenario","This is the normal end message")}

2- If someone chooses to quit the survey in the middle of doing the survey, the end message would be (YYYYYYY)

If someone just quits by closing the browser, which end message?

Thank you Joffm,

1- I designed the screening question, without using quota. I only set the condition to the subsequent questions that the answer should be "yes". I do not know how to do the quota.
So now how and where to put this condition {if(YNQuestion=="N","This is the end message of this scenario", "This is the normal end message")}
2- When someone decides to click on the quit button, there should be a message, but if he closes the screen so no need for anything.

1.
manual.limesurvey.org/Survey_quotas

2. In the end message

3. Which message? The confirmation message or afterwards the "answers cleared" message.
This is a system message. You may extend your theme and adapt the "clearall.twig" which in my opinion is easier than to create a new translation.

Not in the "theme settings".

Use the "theme editor".
In "clear all" of your extended theme you find the twig file "clearall.twig".

Here you may adapt to your wishes.

Only adding this line
<div style="background-color:yellow; color:red;font-size:20pt;border:blue;padding:10px">this is my new message</div>

Use all HTML and bootstrap features you like.

I told you that you have to use the theme editor, NOT the theme settings.
You reach it in several ways:
1. directly from "Survey Overview"

2. Menue "Configuration"

Best you start reading the manual.

Hi Joffm,

Thank you for the all help you provide here. I do not even have configuration panel in the limesurvey version that I'm working on. Any recommendations?

So, you do not host it yourself?
Something like a university Installation?
Obviously you do not
have rights to change themes.

That's right, I'm working on the survey via university portal, and still need to change the exit message for participants who exit the survey.

Best regards
Alamshah
