Hi
I'm a newbie at lime, but I hope that someone could help me.
I would like to know if it is possible (and how to do it) to register the participant using a field at the beginning of the survey where he fills the email, instead of sending an invitation (this because is not user friendly -sendind an invitation, the participant insert his data and then go to email to see the link....)

Another issue is that the survey is to be in 2 parts. Participants answer the first part and after 2 weeks they answer the second part. For this one, we will send an email to the participants of the first one. The best way is export and import the participants to 2 survey and then send the invitation?

Is there any way that when participants access the second survey, they can see the answers given in the first one?

Thank you

There is no "user management" for survey takers in Limesurvey.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
No support via private message.

But if we copy the first survey and responses to second survey and then import the participants, the participants could "continue" de survey.
(After generate tokens to users and associate to responses in excel....)
It' possible?

Okay, a solution could be:
  • Create your first survey and run it.
Set "Participant may save and resume later:" to "ON"
Set "Enable token-based response persistence:" to "ON"
  • After it is finished you export the data to EXCEL, csv, SPSS or whatever you work with. (only for security reasons).
  • Deactivate this survey
  • Add your further questions to this survey
  • Activate the survey and import the old token table
  • Import the "old" answers. (Remember: This is delicate. So DO NOT change anything in the questions of the first survey)

  • Edit the participant table. Set "completed to "No" and "Uses left" to "1"
  • Edit the answer table. Set "completed to "No"

Now the respondent will start at the last page of the first survey. In my opinion this should be a text display that explains the procedure.

BTW:
You wrote

If you are able to send an invitation, you obviously know the email adress. Why don't you send the link with token directly?

I will try it. There's no problem importing answers to a larger table (with more questions)?
I'm not shure if initially I will have access to participants email or if I send link to the person that have email's list...
Thanks for the great help!!
