participant attribute quota was created by JaimeAvalos
Hi everybody,

I would like to set a quota in a survey based in some participant attribute.

I initialized a participant table with the Country of the participants introduced in the field "First Name".

Now I would like to stablish a quota of 100 for each country I have: UK, ES and DE.

I have been trying different thngs but I did not find anything that worked. I appreciate a lot your help. My LS Version is 3.21.6+200121

Cheers

Why don't you create a custom attribute for "country" instead of misusing the name field? Then you can access it in the survey for example via {TOKEN:ATTRIBUTE_1}

Not sure if you can use these token fields directly in a quota. If not, you just write it into a hidden equation question and set the quota on this.

But if you really need to use firstname for the country, then you could use something like {TOKEN:FIRSTNAME}.

Also instead of saying "I have been trying different thngs but I did not find anything that worked" you should tell us what "things" you have already tried. This helps to keep the back and forth of hints low.

Thank you for this hint, thank to it I solved the problem.

I created a always hidden radio question for each country and the country marked as default. This question is only displayed if {TOKEN:FIRSTNAME = "country" }.

If you place these questins at the end of the survey the quota counts when a survey is completed for each country.

i think this topic can be close. Thanks again

And your respondents will be very grateful.
If the 101st "ES"-respondent fills the whole survey and at the end he is screened out because of the quota.

A quota question has to be placed as soon as possible.

But as I understand you do not want to set a quota but only count.
On this case you might create a hidden question of type "radio" and answer option codes "UK", "ES" and "DE" and set the default value to {TOKEN:FIRSTNAME}

Thank you you are completly rigth, it must be placed at the very beggining.

you are rigth, to set the default value to {TOKEN:FIRSTNAME} is even more efficient.

Kind regards,
Jaime
