Way to tell from results which random order respondent got was created by ziege19
I'm doing a survey where respondents will get two question groups in random order.
Is there a way it can be configured so that I can tell from the results which order they got? We would like to compare the answers from those who got group 1 first with those who got group 2 first.

Try creating equation questions with the expression {GROUP01.gseq}
Never tried it, but I will give it a shot!

I also think, that "gseq" may work.
An easy to understand solution is:
a. Create a hidden single question ("QOrder") at the start of the survey with two answer options
1 = "Group A first"
2 = "Group B first"
b. In Group A create an equation question that sets this question to "2" {QOrder=2}
c. In Group B create an equation question that sets this question to "1" {QOrder=1}
So the group that was displayed last, sets the value of QOrder to the first displayed group.
