Interlocking quotas was created by MartaGodoyGimn1
Good Morning,

I am carrying out a test by the LimeSurvey platform for a test validation project. However, we are faced with a question. We need to add an Age x Sex Quota for a sample of 500 participants.

For example, we need 30 women aged 18-21 to complete the survey (Group 1, women) and 32 men aged 18-21 to carry out the survey (Group 1, men); the same with other six quotas Age x Sex.

What we would need is the LimeSurvey to calculate the quotas at the same time that participants complete it. When an 18-year-old woman goes to carry out the survey and there are already 30 women of the same quota, she does not have to do it, but rather that the lime re-direct that woman to an over-quota link that the quota. The same would happen if a 17-year-old person tries to carry out the survey. In this way, we save these people from taking the test and we do not have to give them the reward. We have tried to do directly from Quotas section, but you cannot combine quotas (interlocking quotas). The quotas would be associated with a question of "what is your year of birth?" and a question of "sex" written at the beginning of the test.
I read something about a hidden education question but I am not sure how it works since I tried it but the hidden question does not register anything. My hidden equation question has {hidden=if(Age < 1975, "0")} in the question test.

Would you know how to help me, as far as possible, to carry out the quotas?

Kind regards,
Marta

With :

1. An single choice hidden question
2. An Equation question type

The single choice "Quota": (Q for quota)

Q01 : women aged 18-21
Q02 : women aged 21-31
Q03 : women aged 31-41
...
Q11 : men aged 18-21
Q12 : men aged 21-31
Q13 : men aged 31-41

Equation :
{Quota = join(
if(gender == "F" and age >= 18 and age < 21,"Q01"),
if(gender == "F" and age >= 21 and age < 31,"Q02"),

if(gender == "M" and age >= 18 and age < 21,"Q11"),
if(gender == "M" and age >= 21 and age < 31,"Q12"),

"")}

Now : you can set your quota to "Quota" question.
