Fake URL in browser was created by SteveC
Hi all,

I want to show a fake URL in browser, how can I do this? I tried to use history.pushState at index.php page, it is success, but when I submit the answer, it can't save my result. Is there any solution or method to this ? Thanks.

My environment setting:
Limesurvey 2.5
PHP 5.5 with Linux
MYSQL

What is a "fake URL"? Sounds dodgy. What is it needed for?

Sometimes called Pseudo URL. Mostly something like this is meant:
html5demos.com/history/

Very funny when you bookmark them. The whole idea of the URL thrown under the bus.

The meaning of the word "stable" for users

Thanks jelo to answer what is this.

Hi holch,
I need to prevent respondents to retake the survey again with same key, I know we can use token options, but I haven't manpower to maintenance, it is because I have over 1K cases / services per day and I need their feedback after service.

My idea is:
the physical link is " abc.com/limesurvey/123456?serviceId=88889 "
the web link show at browser is " abc.com/servicesurvey/ "
So that, user do not know my parameter and survey id, even if they use back and forward buttons in browser.

But what will that help?
If I can reach abc.com/limesurvey/123456?serviceId=88889 also via abc.com/servicesurvey/ I can just use that link and try it again...

I think the best use is still tokens and some kind of API automation.

Quickest way : use a javascript redirect on welcome page
More clean way : use a plugin (for example) to redirect to the survey with prefilled session value.
