Show result and statistic to respondent was created by Andrey
Hi, all
(How) can I do this with LimeSurvey?
(How) can I do this with LimeSurvey?
- Assess every answer (select from options) as a number and calculate the final result by formula. If it is supposed that I should use Expression Manager then what I need to do in order to enable it? The manual states that it should be available in tools menu, but I have not such item in this menu. I use limesurvey default hosting. Not dedicated server.
- After completion of survey show to respondent the final result of assessment. It is preferably that depends on result (i.e. 1-5), also prepared text will show, commenting the result.
- After completion of survey show to respondent the common result statistic as percent of respondents assessed per result. I.e. 1-20%, 2-55%, 3-10%, 4-10%, 5-5%. Preferably in form of diagram.

Hi, Andrey,
1. my first advice is to set the answer option codes as digit and not as "A1", "A2", as the default.
Here you can use your answer option codes in the way that is neede for your calculations.
The remark in the manual about EM is:
But remember: this is - as mentioned - not a tool to create your expressions, but to learn and check. (screenshot)
And about your diagram: I fear you have to create this by yourself.
Best regards
Joffm

This is - as mentioned here in the forum - only accessible by setting the debug mode to "2" in the config file.Examine the built-in EM test suite
From any survey, under tools, select the EM option
Available Functions lists the 70+ functions and syntax
Unit Tests of Isolated Expressions
shows examples of using all EM functions and operators, and the PHP and JavaScript results
note there are few functions that generate different results in the PHP and JavaScript versions, so this page lets you plan your EM logic accordingly.

Hi, Joffm
As I mentioned, I have no EM in my limesurvey interface.
Please see screenshot attached.
Please confirm whether I understood you correctly. EM is not accessible on limesurvey.org default hosting ? I should do dedicated installation in order to use EM ?

Hi, andrey
as I said, this part of the menue is only accessible by setting the variable "debug" to "2".
But you do not miss anything.
Nearly everything in this part of the menue is accessible by Limesurvey.
If you fear you cannot use EM; you can, because you have to enter the expressions manually, just typing.
To add something about your assessments:
I think you read it before, but:
manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager...s_in_the_survey_data

- Available functions (see manual)
- Two tests (included in the LS download package, and more)
- Show survey logic (LS settings / Show survey logic)

Here is an example of how to write group "scores" to equation questions and display them later in the survey (you can probably ignore the stuff about sorting the scores) - www.limesurvey.org/forum/can-i-do-this-w...ssment-output#144654

This does simplify matters but does not allow assigning the same "score" to different answers within the same question. To do that, assign assessment values to the answers and use the Expression Manager Qcode.value variable - manual.limesurvey.org/Expression_Manager#Access_to_Variablesmy first advice is to set the answer option codes as digit and not as "A1", "A2", as the default.

Thanks, Joffm and tpartner
I think my main problem has been resolved. What I missed (not obvious for me) that in assessment message window can be used any EM expressions (without EM installed) but not ONLY {TOTAL} and {PERC} as stated in manual.
