Good Evening,

Searched through the forum but did not find an answer for this.

Can I display two groups in one page? I have over 20 groups and need to display multiple of them in a page to limit the clicks the user has to do to complete the survey.

Thank you!

Hi, lintu,

sounds as if you use groups not in LS terminology, but to reproduce the structure of the questionnaire.

If you use groups in LS terminology and display your questionnaire "group by group" you have all options:
One question per page (group contains only one question)
Multiple questions per page.
Multiple of "your groups" on one page (which are not LS groups but questions; there is always the opportunity to display a text message between "your groups" to show something like "... and now we want to talk about ..."

Just a week ago I saw a LS survey with grouping like the structure of the questionnaire.
E.g. "Screener", "Main part I", Main Part II", "Final Ratings", "Statistics"
Of course there were conditions. So there had to be entered a lot of question relevances.

Better to structure the questionnaire according to these conditions, like "Group User I", "Group Non-User I", so that only group relevance was needed.

Best regards
Joffm

Limesurvey offers no page structure beside groups. So the short answer is: No.

You want to use the flexibility of the LS groups and then place these group on one page.
LS is missing the feature to have groups and pages at the same time.
There are survey tools which offer grouping features on question and even answerlevel. Which than can be displayed or hidden via scripting.
That is not the case with LimeSurvey.
As Joffm already pointed out you can apply conditions on every question to mimic groups of questions. But that makes the survey more complex. Not as elegant as having different groups on one page.

You can use text-display questions to set headers and simulate survey sections

Thank you all for responding to my question - very helpful! I will use the text-display questions to set headers option to meet my goal.

Take care.

I realize this question is old but:
It should be possible to simulate pages within a group with JavaScript. Replace the Next button with a button (looking the same) that hides the questions that have been answered and shows the next set of questions. The user experience will be the same as though each page was a group.

Yes it is possible but you may run into issues when submitting a group with invalid answers or unanswered mandatory questions.
