Slider with Positive and Negative ranges? was created by arunicbe
I need to capture user's degree of preference between two opposite qualities.
I need a horizontal slide bar with labels for two qualities. The scores range from 10 on the left to -10 on the right with zero at the mid-point.
Please see a sample of the slider below.
Proactive |---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---| Reactive
10 0 -10
Is it possible to do this Multiple Numerical input with slider option?

Hi, arunicbe,
there was a similar question and answer in
www.limesurvey.org/de/foren/design-issue...ow-to-create-a-slide
Well, it seems to be difficult to have the positive value at the left side.
In the slider settings a negative "Step" doesn't work.
So, IMHO, you can do two things.
1.
Turn the scale, that it is from "Reactive" to "Proactive" (see screenshot)
Then you can set the slider options to min=-10, max=10, step=1
The answer text should be "|Reactive|Proactive".
2.
The more difficult way:
Let the text as it is (Proactive at the left side).
After the question use an equation to change the values (e.g. 8-->-8, -3-->3) by calculating newvalue=(-1)*oldvalue.
Kind regards
Joffm

Here is a workaround for reverse sliders in version 2.05 and 2.06 -
manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Quest...ating#Reverse_Slider
.
The workaround will have to be modified for version 2.50 - the slider code has been drastically modified. (in fact, they don't work for me at all with the latest GIT pull)

Is it possible to show the numbers as positive in the call out?
