Baffled - how to enter multiple choices was created by wmike
Just started looking at LimeSurvey.
I simply want to put a multiple choice question allowing multiple selections.
The manual is off little help.
Why is this so difficult?
I can see no way to put the questions with their selections into a survey?
Any suggestions, please?
Thanks,
Mike

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

Hi, wmike,
the easy answer is "Exactly as you enter single choice questions".
The only difference is the questiontype "multiple choice". It's nearly at the end of the drop-down.
Didn't you see " manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Multiple_choice ". What else do you want?
Best regards

That link just takes me back to the manual - where I still cannot find a simple explanation. Your tone needs some work

Please refer to the manual. (I find that to be a working link to the multiple choice question type)
Assuming you are using version 2.5...
Regarding "Your tone needs some work", I don't think that's an appropriate way to thank a VOLUNTEER for trying to help you.
Assuming you are using version 2.5...
- Click on survey overview
- Click on "Add question"
- Enter the Code, the question text and select "Multiple choice" in the "Question type" dropdown
- Click "Save and close"
- Click "Edit subquestion"
- Add the required sub-questions (answers)
- Click "Save and close"
- Click "Preview survey", "Preview question group" or "Preview question"
Regarding "Your tone needs some work", I don't think that's an appropriate way to thank a VOLUNTEER for trying to help you.

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

I must agree with Tpartner here. You are asking in a forum which is run by volunteers and I find that help here is generally very good.
I rather found your "tone" would need some work:
