Well, the learning curve is steep because you are doing quite advanced stuff already.

For creating basic surveys my experience shows that with a quick instruction on how to create a survey, group and questions even people who have no previous experience with survey tools are able to create surveys quite quickly.

Now you went directly into Expression Manager, which is definitely the most challenging part in Limesurvey, but also an extremely powerful too that other tools often lack.
