Admin Login Loop was created by leechilli
Hi there.
I had limesurvey setup and working correctly on my old server, I recently moved server and now limesurvey just keeps giving me admin loop even when the information is correct.
Error log gives me no information, turning on errors via php.ini or config.php gives me no further information.
I have looked at the other threads that have a similar problem but this doesn't help me progress.

Did you do a clean install on the new server or did you copy parts of your old install over to the new server?
What version were you running on the old server and which on the new?
Are the server configurations the same or are there differences?

Hi Holch.
I pulled the files across and setup DB access as per the old server.
The server configuration is slightly different as the old server used CPanel and the new server uses Plesk.
The version is 2.05+ from the release notes.

There could be many possible problems. I would guess it is a database problem. Maybe deleting the admin account manually in the database and include a new password can help, but I am not sure. Maybe someone more knowledgable than me can help.
I usually prefer to do clean setups because you never know what could go wrong once you move an old installation to a new server, especially with different configurations.

I've not worked with Limesurvey (didn't even know it was within the files when moving the site). I'm trying to find the correct fields in the database but if I edit lime_users email then try forgotten password it says it couldn't find the username/email.
Unsure if this helps in what the issue could be.

So you just moved the files, but you did not adapt the connections to the database?

OK, so the database is located on another server I assume?
Not sure what the problema is there, but I can imagine that it has to do with moving.
As you are absolutely sure that you have the correct login details, I am not sure if it makes much sense to reset the admin PW manually.
However, here how it should work:
manual.limesurvey.org/General_FAQ#version_2.00

The Database is located on the same server. The details were setup as the same that appears in limesurvey's config file.

Hi the problem returned. I tired what was posted above to no help.
I've also noticed even if I enter incorrect login details it does the same.
