Not able to complete installation because of MySQL database was created by ridotto
Dear all,
I have tried to install LimeSurvey on my local server. The installation works fine until step 5 database setting. I enter all information according to the server settings but then get the message
"A database named database_name already exists. Do you want to populate that database now by creating the necessary tables?"
When I proceed I get the error
"Please fix the following input errors:
There were errors when trying to populate the database:
CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[42S01]: Base table or view already exists: 1050 Table 'lime_answers' already exists"
There is no way in completing or by-passing step 5 and I can't proceed to step 6 adminstrator settings.
Deleting the database and setting up a new one does not solve the problem as every time instead of proceeding to step 6, step 5 is reloaded although the database exists and all necessary tables have been created.
Technical information: Windows 10 Pro, Google Chrome, MySQL 10.1, LimeSurvey current version (downloaded today)
Any assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated!

Which current version you use? LimeSurvey 3 or LimeSurvey 4?

Please file a bug report.
In the meantime you can use the 3.x LTS version. It is more stable than 4.x.
