Hi!

I use Limesurvey through my university (FernUniversität in Hagen). Therefore, I don't have access to the admin section and don't know the version or other details.

For my survey, I use the question type array (5 point choice). I have changed mandatory to off to get the "no answer" option as described in the manual (the "soft" option for mandatory does not exist). However, "no answer" is not added to the matrix, the respondent can only choose a number between 1 and 5. How do I get the "no answer" option?

I have attached the settings of my general options of this question for your reference.

I hope this is not an already reported bug - I couldn't find the bugtracker either.

There is a setting like
"Zeige 'keine Angabe', maybe in "Presentation".

But in my opinion you shouldn't use this.

Use a normal "array", make the question mandatory and add an answer option "keine Angabe / weiß ich nicht / sag ich Dir nicht"

There are only the categories "General options", "Display", "Logic", "Other", and "Statistics". None contains anything like "Zeige 'keine Angabe'".

Array seems to work nicely though, thanks for the quick tip. Just one question about that (I don't find it in the manual for the array): What is the assessment value at "edit answer options"?
