Manual data entry for printed surveys to add to online response. When going into a response to edit, it is apparent where an answer is selected. unselected responses are automatically identified as "unseen."

Subsequently editing, I get an error msg "If the field is marked as unseen, no value should be set" and this prevents saving the edit. No value is set against any field marked "unseen", so I do not know why I get this message (bug?) nor do I understand what "unseen" means in plain language. What does it mean?
