I will set a longitudinal survey, the panticipants will take survey from time to time.

So which strategy is better?
Use only one survey for multi time? (It will cause a participant can not join in the survey in 2nd time)
or
I copy the same survey when the new round research start? (It will generate many survey in LimeSurvey)

Any suggestion is welcome!

Have a look if the "Iterate survey" feature works for you: manual.limesurvey.org/Iterate_survey

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Hi, holch
I found there are prerequisites for the iterate survey:
  1. the survey uses a survey participants table (closed-access survey)
  2. survey is not using anonymous answers
  3. survey is using token-based response persistence
The first prerequisite for me is kind of hard. I have no info for the participants, I have to give the link to them by group chat or a QR code in a public space.
So, can I still make an iterate survey as well?

Obviously not.
How do you imagine how Limesurvey can merge the two surveys if there is not the slightest information about the participants?

You have to create your own idea to be able to merge.

Or you use "public registration".

Oh, got it.

I think there is an privacy issue for my participants, and My iterate survey can carry on without individual data merge. I will analyse it in general.

Thanks! Everyone.

I think I will separate this longitudinal survey after final test.
