I think I need this too. I would like to prepopulate a single question on a tokenized survey with a project number so the person taking the survey will not have to do it.

Why not use a token attribute for this?I would like to prepopulate a single question on a tokenized survey with a project number so the person taking the survey will not have to do it.

That is exactly what I have done.
I added an attribute and then used that attribute in the default of the field. Works fine.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I think We now need to add examples to the documentation of Limesurvey ... because that array is still a mystery.

No mystery - the array keys are the database column names for the questions or sub-questions and the array values are the answers.
