==================
Hello,
We want to create a new account and wanted to know if it is possible to transfer an open survey from another account to the new one, while keeping the same URL that was shared with the participants. Or we have to resend a new one?

Keep in mind that we can have the same domain name, since the previous account will also change its name to something else.

Thank you!

Edit: Based on LimeSurvey GmbH, it seems that this is not possible! Thank you again all for your answers! Best Regards!

If you have the same path to your LimeSurvey instance and the same survey ID, the survey URL should work.

Cheers,

Simple way : export LSA (SUrvey archive) before move account.

I would recommend to ask this question to the Limesurvey GmbH by opening a support ticket, as this refers to their SaaS service, from what I understand.

Thank you for your answer.
Our main concern is not to re-distribute any new URLs to the potential participants. Since it is a "snowball" sampling survey, we can not keep track of the persons already having access to the URL in order to resend the new one.. and of course we need as much participants as possible.

That is why I think you need to talk to Limesurvey GmbH, because you don't have access to the server, etc. So they would need to set this up for you.

However, in your case, I personally wouldn't make such a change from one account to another while there is a survey running with the URL already distributed. Because even if you set a new DNS record, it can take a while until this DNS record has been published to all different DNS servers. It can take from a couple of minutes to serveral hours until all DNS servers are up to date and all respondents are redirected to the correct server.

If you keep the current account anyway, leave your survey as is until it is over.
