How can an admin retrieve the password of a respondant to go on? was created by karld
Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: Version 5.6.48+231205
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: own
Survey theme/template: fruity extended

Hello,
A respondant has saved his session in a survey and would like to continue. But he has lost his password. How can I (as administrator) send him a new password?
I have seen that the password is stored in the table 'saved_control' and that is is encrypted.
I would like to replace it with a new password that I can send to the respondant so that he can resume answering the survey.
Thanks in advance.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

Easy and pragmatic solution.
Start the survey yourself, click "Resume later" and enter a password.
In the database exchange his old encrypted password by yours.
Now you may send it.
