How can I insert timestamp in email template ? was created by OlivierDestrade
Please help us help you and fill where relevant:
Your LimeSurvey version: 6.3.7
Own server or LimeSurvey hosting: cloud
Survey theme/template: standard
==================
Hi !

I want to include the survey completion date and time in the notification email.
In the email template, I have tried the following but none of them is working (nothing is rendered in email).{INSERTANS:DATESTAMP}{DATESTAMP}{COMPLETED}
My survey is configured as public, not anonymous, with the Save Date option activated.

Any idea ?

Hi,
you may read this.
It's in German, but Google translate will help.

Hi!

Thanks for your answer !

I've tried the following syntaxes in email template but none is working :

1) {date} or {date()}
2) Activate the plugin expressionFixedDbVar then : {SUBMITDATE} or {DATESTAMP} (this last one resolving in " - "

Also, I couldn't find where to configure survey setting refered to in manual.limesurvey.org/ExpressionFixedDbVar : "You can choose the fixed DB var to add in Expression Script in this survey. Default is inherit (from Global settings)."

Did I missed something ?

Hi,

 but none is working :
1) {date} or {date()}

1. Not surprising if you do not enter the format.
This is what you see here
manual.limesurvey.org/ExpressionScript_-...mplemented_functions
date Format a local date date(format [, timestamp=time()])

And clicking "date" (it is a link) you are directed to this page
www.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php
where you already find a lot of examples.

And clicking the link under "format" gives you all possible format parameters.

2. As I already wrote in the German thread: "On my opinion it doesn't work", though activated and set to "Yes" in the "Simple Plugins" setting.

I just test : DATESTAMP is set in knowVars , but when return : set as - always ?
(work for STARTDATE)

Why in your opinion it doesn't work ?

work for LASTPAGE (except it outdated : value is set before response was updated : can be fixed)

For SUBMITDATE : use a token enable survey with allow edit.
It must work

The strange issue here are the "-" for value ?
