==================

Is it possible to insert page-breaks between question groups in QueXML PDF export?

Apologies if this has been answered before. We have a questionnaire battery - about 8 of them. We have put each one in it's group and survey nicely displays them group by group. When we do QueXML-PDF export it is very nice, but groups do not start on a new page. If there is space on the page, they follow immediately after the previous group's questions.

It would be very handy if I could tell LS to insert \newpage after any group finishes. Or better yet - if the next group starts in the middle of the page, then insert a newpage before starting the group. Can this be done?

Many thanks,
Roberts

Did you check the queXML export settings?

Thanks. I did check the section, but I did not find what I was looking for. There were ways to keep questions from breaking across pages, but I did not find anything that could help with inserting page break after question-groups.

Hi, in my opinion you shouldn't use this report.
Instead use plugin pdfReport
gitlab.com/SondagesPro/ExportAndStats/pdfReport
You really can create a very good looking report.

Always remember: queXML is designed to create a paper-pencil questionnaire that can be scanned after completion.
Therefore this heavily structured look.

But you may ask the developers.

Thanks Joffm, The reason I used this report was to produce pen and paper blank survey, that could be filled out by hand.

Quexml-PDF export has a very useful side effect - it allows you to test your survey with pen and paper in a room full of colleagues who also have a few pen and paper versions. So my intention was not to produce a report but a paper copy as similar as possible to the current electronic LS original.

If pdf-report could do the same without much configuration, that's great. I doubt that a little, especially as it goes up to version 5.X and LS now is in 6.X.

I have exact same requirement.

Have you tried the pdfReport plug-in on a 6.4.2 LS server?

If not, I will give it a try and revert.
