Insert excel attachment in End message was created by jimdavies
Is it possible to include an excel attachment in the end message.
Client wants survey participants to complete an attached workbook and email it to them.
I don't want to deactivate the survey and lose all the existing responses so thought added it to the end message could be an option.
I'm on Version 2.50+ Build 160810

You could do a backup.
Sorry, not getting the whole picture. Maybe you could do something like a step by step explanation?
Thanks

The excel would contain info from the response? Would this be an excel report?Client wants survey participants to complete an attached workbook and email it to them.

Once users complete the survey the client wants them to open an excel workbook, complete two tabs, save it to their computer and email the completed excel workbook directly to them.
The excel is blank and the users is just filling in some info that will not be stored or used in the survey

Why not adding an upload file question in a separate group at the end?
If not, maybe add it on a second linked survey?

I don't know how to add a question to a survey without losing all the previous responses.

Hi, after deactivating and adding your question
you can import the answer table again after you activated the survey again

I tried the import feature but didn't work. I'll start a new thread just on that when I have time to research that feature

I don't understand all of the talk about adding question(s).
Simply upload the Excel file to your server and provide a link in the end message.

I'm really surprised about the thread and how an uploadquestion could be part of the solution.
But jimdavies seems to have an issue with KCFinder while uploading the Excelfile.

Tpartner is exactly right. It's a simple upload to the server and a link to download the Excelfile from the EndMessage-Screen. The Survey can be running while the Excelfile and Links is added.jimdavies wrote: The excel is blank and the users is just filling in some info that will not be stored or used in the survey
