Configuring limesurvey 2.05 behind a reverseproxy on a DMZ ... was created by achecchini
Hello!
I'm trying to configure an instance of LimeSurvey behind a proxy server (apache).
The aim is to gain users access to surveys from a public address in a DMZ, while administrator users access only via the internal intranet network.
In practice, public users accessing surveys from an address like:
mydomain.com/limesurvey/index.php/123456/lang-it
while administrators operate on an address like:
10.XX.XX.XX/limesurvey/admin
I would to dispatch surveys address matching the "public" address, like mydomain.com
I tried (following the manual) to change the config.php by adding the lines:
'Components' => array (
...
'Request' => array (
'HostInfo' => 'mydomain.com',
),
)
I get the desired result, BUT with this configuration every operation performed by administration interface get out errors because prefixed by the URL address of the administration's public website.
Infact for a typical path of the administration as:
10.XX.XX.XX/limesurvey/index.php/admin/s...view/surveyid/123456
I obtain:
mydomain.com/limesurvey/index.php/admin/...view/surveyid/123456
generating an error.
Has anyone ever tried to engage in a similar configuration. Have you to suggest solutions to overcome the problem?
Thanks in advance for any replies ...

Hello,
that's also a problem for me.
Has anybody solved this or is there a workaround?
Thanks
Sven

Please do not double-post, particularly not digging up a 5 year old thread.

Please help me in finding particular answer about this concern from my customer
"Is it possible to have the service collecting the responses from participants on a webserver in a separate network zone separate from the admin server?"
