Hi everyone! I'm creating a survey on LimeSurvey for a professor at my university and he asks me to make some items appear or hide on a question based on what items have been selected in the previous one. More specifically, I have a question in which respondents tick all boxes corresponding to the means of transportation they use to get to the university. Then, in the following question, we are asking them what mean they use for the first part. In this second question, which formally has the same item of the previous one, only those means of transportation that have been selected in the previous question should appear.
Hoping that the explanation is clear, is there a way I can do this with my version of Lime?
Thanks in advance and have a great day!

Hi all,

My question revolves around a multiple choice question with one exclusive option. If I check any of the not exclusive options my exported csv data looks as expected (yes for the chosen, no for the not chosen).
But if I check the exclusive option I get: Yes for the exclusive option and N/A for the others.
Is this behavior wanted?  and if it is wanted, is there an "easy" way to change that.

Thanks in advance

Hello!
Im working on a study with three parts: Pretest, Game, and Posttest. So, in the Pretest phase, I've got a link to the game set up in the End-URL. Which is working fine.
But here's the thing: there are actually two versions of the game, each with its own link.Is there any way in Limesurvey to put both links in the End-URL and have it randomly pick one?

Thanks in advance!

Is Limesurvey 6.x ready for production? was created by linuxhooligan

Hi guys.

QUESTION:  Is Limesurvey 6.x ready for production?

CONTEXT:

1) We started testing out Lime last year with 6.x  and we ran into some show stopper bugs that forced us to go with 5.x for now as we could not find any bug or issue that was even visible to us in our daily production.  Unfortunately I do not have my original notes as to why I had to downgrade from 6.x, that would help me better judge how to move forward.

2) Recently I have had to create 300+ question surveys, sometimes with a rather substantial number of questions per group and I have run into a bug with re-ordering of the questions.  Without getting into a too long to read description, this bug was originally in 3.x, it kind of seems to now exist in 5.6.55.x but it is kind of limited in scope and for the current moment I can work around the issue so it isn't quite a show stopper although it is cutting it close.

As part of our strategic look forward, we had conversations with consultancies about a year or so ago about using 6.x and the sentiment was that 6.x would become production "stable / ready" around summer of this year or so in various peoples opinions.

At the risk of perhaps causing controversy (and apologies if I do, it is not my intention), I am curious if anyone here can speak to the current 6.5.x, it's use in production.  Do you feel it is fully production ready?  Are there any showstopper or concerning bugs in 6.5.x to keep an eye on before taking the plunge?  Is there a community wide consensus around it become production stable / ready around right now?  Can it handle large surveys (300+ questions) and might have anyone seen any issues around the re-ordering of questions in a survey?

I really admire Limesurvey, the team and the community.   It truly is a great product and I am tremendously confident in 5.x for sure.  It meets our needs and I do have fond memories of testing 6.x last year as well.  I wanted to get some feedback from the community so that I can get a counter-perspective as I am bout to dive in again and run it through another set of tests.

Absolutely any feedback is more than welcome.

Thanks!

I have a mandatory multiple choice question that requires the participant to choose 2 or 3 answers. But I also have an answer "None of the above", which is set to be an Exclusive option... However, since the question requires 2 or 3 answers, and the None negates the ability to provide more than 1 answer, I cannot advance to the next question because of the requirement to provide 2 to 3 answers.

Is there a workaround for this?

Hello,
is there a way, for a standard user who designs surveys or themes, to change the template for the "admin" export-printablesurvey in picture? Maybe in LimeSurvey 6?
Thank you

We have a national requirement to enable 2FA for any internet facing systems logging into our hosted systems, a little disappointed to see that we don't seem to be able to have the TwoFactorAdminLogin and LDAP plugins running side by side as it doesn't show the auth code on the login screen and trying to login ends up locking out the account.

Could it instead do the LDAP login then pass to a 2FA screen to enter the relevant code to then allow login?

Are there any other 2FA/LDAP plugins available that would make this possible, we are willing to pay the premium account costs.

I want to store the location of each respondant (after their consent of course). So I tried this method :https://manual.limesurvey.org/Question_type_-_Short_free_text#Location

I put "yes" to saving location information like country, city...

However after I tested it, I couldn't find the location information in the answers/responses section.
Where can I find them?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I have a long survey and I want to start the "preview survey" at a specific position of my survey. I know that I can preview question groups and individual questions. However, this only allows me to preview this specific group or question. I want to see the working of filters and conditions between different question groups, hence I need to click through parts of my survey. Right now, I do not know an alternative to always starting the full survey at the beginning, which is extremely cumbersome and time consuming when the relevant questions are more to the back of the survey. Also, I prefer not to temporarily move all relevant questions to the beginning of the survey as reordering it is also a quiet annoying since I have multiple different things I want to preview. I know from other survey software, that starting a preview at any point is possible or that you can jump to certain questions in preview mode. Is there anything like this for limesurvey?

Appreciate your help!

Hello,

Thank you again you all your help during the last few months. I need help on how to auto-resize an image in Welcome message when accessing the survey through mobile device.

I had been trying the following codes I saw in the forum , but no resolution: <img alt="" class="img-responsive" src="/EPHMSurvey/upload/surveys/895696/images/image002.jpg" />

I also tried putting the codes below at custom.css.Luckily, images auto resize in text questions  but not in the Welcome page. .question-title-container img {    display: block;    max-width: 100%;    height: auto;}
Any code you can recommend so images in the Welcome page can auto-resize  as well?

Hi, can you give me some help about an issue regarding showing public statistics? After submit answers and click on "view statistics" link on the next page, I´,m directed to a page, like below. I´ve made all statistics configs, like set the "show public statistics" on global and question configs, but the error persists. There´s another config I must do, that I´m probably skipping? Thank you.

Hello

Seems a small problem, but important for me.

Question type: Array
Subquestions added with: Quick add
Problem: When I copy-paste the questions from MS word, or notepad, the questions are aligned to right. but I want to align to left.

I have lots of subquestions, do not want to use the popup html editor one by one.
Here is a short screenvideo:  www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/27604122...352f0ce358612c09b442

Thanks for the tips
