Insert statistics at the end of a respondent form?

Category: Can I do this with LimeSurvey?

Hi folks!

Can graphs from the statistics page be preset (filters, etc.) and inserted at the end of a survey for respondents to see?

We normally develop reports out of respondents answers (served outside of Limesurvey) but thought this could be an easier way.

Or shall I use "assessments" for that?

Thanks!

Edited Answer Text in Database

Category: Can I do this with LimeSurvey?

Hi,
I just created a test survey in 3.6.2.
Entered a few responses and got this in the statistics page:

and this statistic result:

Well, now I changed one answer option in phpMyAdmin in table [lime_prefix]_answers:

and entered again a few responses in this question

In the statistics page I saw the following:

So, unfortunately I could not reproduce.

So probably the person destroyed a bit more than only editing a text.

Best regards
Joffm

1) I am using the latest version of LS 3.6.2.
2) It is a single punch question (radio).
3) When I go to check off the questions to include in the statistics, each question is displayed with a list of the answers. I can see the answer text for all questions except the answer that was edited on the question selection page for statistics.

OK. So I guess the solution here would be a separate LS instance configured to use the read replica, which is read-only, for the reports as making changes affecting the entire application is not acceptable. How can I disallow the use of statistics? I would like to prevent people from running statistics on the main DB.

So there is a separate DB settings configuration just for the statistics section of the platform? If so, where can I find it?

ok: you're trying to generate the statistics from the LimeSurvey Admin Interface, but using another DB. Correct?

Can we embed survey into another survey

Category: Installation & update issues

Hi,
I have one company but multiple departments, each department has a customer satisfaction survey, the first 5 questions in every survey are identical in all surveys and they ask about the company in general, while the rest of the questions in each survey are department specific.
we use those 5 questions to run statistics and measure the satisfactions of our customers company wide and compare between the departments and see where is the lowest score that we need to focus on and the highest score that we need to encourage, etc...

so my question is, is there anyway to create a survey that has 5 questions, and embed this survey in every other survey i create?

Thanks

What version of LimeSurvey is used?

I'm not aware of a setting via GUI in LS 3. Perhaps there is a config-setting to change such a format.
The pdf library default settings are in the file.
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma...ion/config/tcpdf.php
Some settings are exposed to the config files, but the pdf pageformat seems not to be exposed there.
github.com/LimeSurvey/LimeSurvey/blob/ma.../config-defaults.php

But would be a good feature request via GUI (in case someone is not Admin and can change phpfiles): Statistics Export Settings:
Setting Page orientation (Portrait or landscape orientation)
Page format (A4, US Letter)

You can open a feature request.

Is there any way to customize the pdf layout of the statistics to a "letterhead" format?

The statistics view is just what is says it is, statistics :) Use the "Export results" feature instead and you will get your desired output.

hey Deusdeorum, I now use 'statistics -> view statistics' this allow me to save survey results as .xls file.

But in that file all answers are in the left column and next to that the percentages of how many people chose an answer. I can't see anymore *who* gave what answer.

So to use my example above, I currently get:

AnswerCountpercentage
Yes133%
No133%
Other...133%

etc...

What 'current export feature' are you using? Limesurvey does indeed allow you to export on a individual level. Go to Responses and statistics > Export results > Choose excel and export. Or am I misunderstanding you somewhere?
