Maximise and minimise choice 3 rows out of 7 was created by PeterK01
Hello,
In my array I would like to maximise and minimise 3 selected rows in total and 1 column per row. See the figure. Can this be done in Limeservice ?
I am an unexperienced user and not a programmer.
Thanks.
Peter

You can use an array question with "Maximum answers" set to 3 -

Thank you Tony,
Now I set the question to a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 3 and so far it works.
The problem that comes up now is that once you have made a choice and want to undo it, its not going. So in that case it counts for the maximum of three.
If this can be made working I have 2 extra questions:
1 is it possible to maximise and minimise that in each row 1 answer is choosen ?
2 The min and max item is as far is a understand only available in version 1.92. I am using Limeservice which has version 1.91 Maybe for an other topic ?
Thanks,
Peter

Attach a small sample survey with the array-numbers/checkbox question question and I'll give a little script to:
1) Limit to one answer per row
2) Limit to 3 rows answered
3) Require that 3 rows are answerd

This is true with any radio question. If you want the ability to uncheck, you will need to use an array-numbers question with the checkbox layout. The problem that comes up now is that once you have made a choice and want to undo it, its not going.
A radio array only allows one answer per row. If you use the checkbox option mentioned above, you will need to use JavaScript to limit one answer per row.is it possible to maximise and minimise that in each row 1 answer is choosen ?
Then you will need to use JavaScript.I am using Limeservice which has version 1.91

Good morning Tony,
My apologies for my non reaction on your offer. I was abroad for a long time. Thanks for your reaction and offer. I have to study now all the changes and new possibilities of Limesurvey. It looks good so far.
Best regards, Peter

And you should really think about a upgrade. 1.91 is quite old and since then LS has advanced quite a bit and also a lot of bugs have been solved.

Hello Holch, thanks for your advice. I was not here for a long time. Now I am using the Limeservice and building seriously my first survey.
Have a nice day, Regards, Peter
