Edit our answers even after submit ? was created by limes4LN
Hi,
My survey is open to the public, but sometimes, users make mistakes when they answer to questions. For the moment, the only way I've found is to ask them to fill up the form once again. Is there a way to offer them the possibility to edit their own answers even if they validated and submitted the survey ? (I'm thinking to a classic registration form I guess and classic authentication login/password form)
Thanks

There is no way to do this. If it is just to correct some issues, you can correct them for them in the admin backend, but for them, they can't correct their previous responses. At least I am not aware of any option like this.

If your survey has to be filled just one time by every user, you can follow these steps:
This way, every time a user enter his password and access the survey, he is able to see responses from previous sessions (even if he didn't submit).
- Set survey to restricted access
- Enable public registration.
- Set "Enable token-based response persistence?" to "Yes"
- Set "Allow multiple responses or update responses with one token?" to "Yes"
This way, every time a user enter his password and access the survey, he is able to see responses from previous sessions (even if he didn't submit).

Aesteban, but what if the person has submitted? I don't think you can access those responses, right? And I think that is what they are after. But if it is possible: great. Learned something new. Because I never use the public registration function.

Yes, you can access and modify your responses even if you already submitted them. Just try!
Alfredo
PS: In my previous message, the configuration option is "Enable token-based response persistence?" instead of "Allow multiple responses or update responses with one token?".

What if your survey has to be filled out multiple times by every user? That is, is it possible to have users both create new responses and edit their previously submitted responses?

I guess what Denis wants to say is, that you would have to create a plugin for that (or pay someone to do this for you), I guess.
