Definition of partial responses was created by RebeccaAwdry
Hello,
I can see an older post which asks about partial responses, but I'd like to get in a bit deeper to the understanding of what partial means. Whilst I can see that it is for an incomplete survey, does this mean someone who dropped out before completing it only? Could it also include respondents who completed all mandatory questions, but did not complete the optional questions?
These nuances could really make a different in how I analyse and present my data, so if someone could please advise, that would be great, thanks!

When you fill out a survey and answers are saved, you have a partial response till you complete the survey (then the status of the response changes to Complete. If you don't complete the survey, it stays a partial response.RebeccaAwdry wrote: Thanks, but I am looking specifically for what partial response means! Do you know this?

Partial response mean : NOT completed survey …
A response can be completed or not, then partial or completed.
