Slider Layout was created by norbertcz
Hey guys,
I have a problem with setting up a slider question. I want to create slider questions with 7 attributes so people one can express attribute´s importance by slide movements (in total 100 points). The problem ist that the gaps between the sliders are very big and not more than three attributes are displayed at once without scrolling (see attachment). This makes it rather complicated to give out 100 points to 7 attributes when only 3 can be displayed at once.
I also tried to implement the vertical sliders from:
manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Quest...ing#Vertical_Sliders
but that does not work either. I inserted both codes, as well as changing the question ID in the code and created the question as written in the description. Also played around with the settings but nothing really helped.
Does anyone has an idea what could be a solution to my problem? Or maybe if anyone has an idea why the vertical slides from the link may not work?
Many thanks and kind regards,
Norbert

Hi, Norbert,
you are absolutely right. The usability of such a slider battery is not the best.
You can add to your"template.css" the following two things:
.withslider {
height:10px;
}
.slider-container {
margin-bottom: 0.5em;
margin-top: 0.5em;
}
With these values you get the result of the screeshot.
You have to play around with the values to satisfy your ideas.
Best regards
Joffm
