Email Templates 403 permission denied was created by lordg
Hi All!
Having an issue with emailtemplate saves and getting a 403 error. Checked all permissions for the tmp, templates, and upload folders. They are all 777. Url path is "/survey/index.php/admin/emailtemplates/sa/update/surveyid/588331".
Any ideas as to what else the issue would be?
Thanks,
G

It seems I found the issue.
If I clear the fields (subject and body) and save, it saves!
If I set the subject to a single string value, like "abc", and the body to nothing and save, it saves!
If I set the subject to a single string value, like "abc", and the body to "abc" and save, it saves!
If I set the subject to a single string value, like "abc", and the body to "<p>abc</p>" and save, it saves!
If I set the subject to a single string value, like "abc", and the body to "<p>abc</p><p>abc</p>" and save, it dose NOT save!
So it seems that my html code, which contains tables, paragraphs, etc, is not being saved for possibly the same reason the last test above didn't.

I doubt it is a LimeSurvey issue but rather a server issue. Maybe your server has mod_security installed or similar.

How would mod_security cause the final test to fail vs the others though?

I guess the best way to test this is see if it is reaching lime or not. If it is, issue is within lime, if not, then probably issue with apache as you say.

 I finally found a solution to this afther searching all the forums i could find... For me it was in the cpanel that I had added a no direct acces limitation to certan files. Removing this and all works. Hope it healps other people!
